Press Inquiries

How to reach us

Cedar & Iron Gazetteer welcomes inquiries from journalists, editors, publishers, broadcasters, and media organizations with genuine interest in insurance claims, public adjusters, and disaster recovery. We have built seven years of independent research into how homeowners insurance operates in practice, where the gaps in coverage emerge, and how public adjusters help families navigate complex claims. Our team includes former insurance adjusters who have seen claims from both sides, state insurance regulators, and investigative reporters who understand both the technical details and the human impact of coverage disputes. We are well-equipped to support journalists working on stories that serve the communities we serve, whether that means interviews on record, background information provided off record, or pointing you toward authoritative primary sources we have already verified. We respond to substantive press requests within three business days as a standard practice, and we prioritize time-sensitive coverage with genuine deadlines so your story receives thoughtful attention rather than a rushed response.

Send your inquiry to our editorial team at press@atlanta-rea.com with your publication name or outlet, your intended publication date if you have one, and a brief description of the story you are developing. We maintain comprehensive media kits documenting our research methodology, our most-cited coverage organized by topic and geographic focus, and links to primary sources we rely on for verification. Our editorial archives are fully searchable by keyword, region, and publication date, making it easy to locate specific research or see how our coverage of a topic has developed over time. Background interviews can usually be scheduled within 24 to 48 hours depending on the subject matter and availability, and we accommodate phone, video, and email formats according to your workflow and timeline needs. For longer-term collaboration or recurring interviews, we can work out a regular schedule that fits both our editorial calendar and your news cycle.

Before you write

  1. Describe the specific angle you are exploring and identify your intended audience. Tell us whether you are reporting for a local or regional publication, a trade journal, a consumer-focused outlet, or a broadcast feature—that context helps us identify which of our research is most relevant and alerts us if we have already published similar material that your story might reference, respond to, or build on directly.
  2. Reference any of our articles, data visualizations, tables, or published findings that sparked your interest or that you are planning to use as a foundation for your reporting. We can walk you through the methodology behind any piece, explain the data's limitations and source documentation, and connect you with primary sources we relied on so you can verify our findings independently.
  3. State your deadline clearly and explicitly, including the publication date if you have a firm one. If you are working on a compressed timeline, we prioritize those requests within our other commitments so you receive a thoughtful response rather than a generic or delayed one that might not serve your story.
  4. Specify exactly what form of contribution you need and what level of attribution you require. Some journalists want a formal on-the-record interview with a named source, others need background context with permission to paraphrase without specific attribution, and some request only a statement they can quote directly with our permission. Making this clear shapes how we respond and what commitments we can ethically make.
